When you buy a firearm online, you will need to have it transferred to you by a local FFL like us.
How it works:
When your firearm arrives, you will be contacted to come to pick up, bring your valid and current TX Driver License, your valid and current TX LTC (if you have one), any immigration documents, and cash or credit card. The fee for firearms transfers is $25 each cash ($30 card). If the transfer requires a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background check, add $10 cash ($15 card)
After you have paid the transfer fee, you are required to complete a per DOJ/BATFE Firearm Transaction Record, commonly called a Form 4473. If you have a TX LTC, no NICS check is required. If you do not have a TX LTC, the NICS check is initiated, hence the extra fee. If approved immediately, the transfer is complete.
Occasionally, a transfer is delayed by NICS, and the transfer will likely be approved within 5 days, when you will come back to complete the transfer. In the rare case that the transfer is denied, you are responsible for the cost of returning the firearm to the seller. There are no refunds on fees.
